Tax return needed for Credit Card application?
I'm currently in the middle of applying for a credit card though i'm currently earning above average wage for my age and the credit card company has asked me to send in last years tax return to show proof though i only got this job this year. I've attached on the application my payslip with the tax return though is this okay?
no one should see your tax return unless maybe you are buying a house, your pay stubs should be enough if not the credit card company is getting to nosey
NO!! That has never happened to me with legit company's..... does not sound right.
It depends upon how badly you want the credit card. If you have no credit record, they can ask for all types of information.

Yep it's normal for credit providers to request a tax return. Letters of employment and payslips can easily be forged, so a LOT of banks, even the major ones request tax returns as proof of income.
