I have a horrible crush on Shakira. I know that sounds pathetic, but it's almost like I'm back in high school and feeling that crazy teenager hormonal emotion again. I have NO real idea why I like her...there are better singers in the world, more beautiful women in the world, and, frankly, I've never been an especially big fan of Latinas in particular (not that I dislike them). I guess my thing for Shakira is like a having tooth with a cavity...it's part of me, I can play with it anytime I like, and in so doing derive the delight of bittersweet pain. |
