The reason health care is so expensive is that it is regulated. For example, say I was a doctor and you needed care but didn't have any money. A normal business will eat the cost knowing that next time you need something you will know where to go. But a doc cannot do that. They have to charge you the full amount, and take you to court to get. Even if they know you have no money. I know docs that treat low income people on a bootleg basis - no records are kept ever. These GPs are lucky to make $50,000 a year but love what they do. IMHO the government does not give a rat's derriere if you live or die or how much BS the medical field goes through with all of the government paperwork mandates. If they did, they wouldn't have a "special" health system for themselves. |

Excellent question....most don't seem to understand is. Many think we currently have free markets in healthcare. That's why so many are quick to point out healthcare as an example of the failure of the free market and the need for more government control....(this is the tactic of the liberal media machine and the liberal congressional machine...to keep Americans stupid and desirous of socialism.) ...but you my friend are definantely not one who enjoys being told what and how to think by the liberal media machine...you are one who thinks for himself.... |

The free market has provided us with the best health care in the form of , the best doctors, the best pharmaceuticals, the best medical equipment and the best hospitals in the world. Why else would someone with the unlimited funds of a Saudi Prince travel all the way to New York for an operation? * |
