Movies...????
This sounds funny, but I need
to write a persuasive paper
for my literature teacher on
what movie she should rent.
She never rents ANY movies, so
this is a bit of a step for
her. Do you have any good
movies that I should use? She
is very quiet ans loves to
find deep meaning in
everything. Thank you so
much!!!
(off the wall movies would be
good too) ;)

What About Bob? - comedy, but full of psychology! Legends of the Fall Cider House Rules - great movie Don't know your age or the age of your teacher, but she would enjoy any of these three I would think Had to add Sophie's Choice to the list. Early Meryl Streep movie, really deep! |

The Notebook is a deep movie that I think she might like. But that's only if you're into romance. Lmao, someone above said Saw, Mean Girls, and Final Destination. At first I thought that was silly but I actually have to agree with that. You said "she loves to find deep meaning in everything";- Saw teaches us to value our life, Mean Girls will teach her about today's youth and the concept of honesty lol, and Final Destination definitely has some interesting theories in it about life and death. I suggest those too! =D |

I just watched Cache, a French film. It has an open ending and is quite suspenseful and intriguing. I am sure you and she will find it interesting and easy to write about and discuss. |

For a literature teacher... "10 Things I Hate About You" |

secretary.....James spader and Maggie Gyllenhall. Very strange, very funny and if she's quiet like you say then this is good because it shows what people can be like behind closed doors, and that you can always find a love to fit your "other" self. |

Well it actually depends on what she likes and believe if or not, a lot of times age has a lot to do with it. What I mean. The older you are the more apt you are to like older movies. If she likes Thrillers and movies with twists, try... bone collector, identity, or mind hunters. If you like old horror classics try...blob, Christine one or two, any of the Freddy or Jason or even Leprechaun movies. If you like comedy's, well it depends on the type of comedy you like. It is really hard to say. But for me, I like a lot of the older scary movies. Today movies suck. The other day I watched Cloverfield, I hated it, then I watched the eye, I couldn't stop laughing during the movie. Yesterday I watched Bucket list. I have to admit, it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. To me, today's movies suck, they lost all the value as soon as they hit production because some producer has no imagination. That and they ran out of ideas for new movies. The scare factor is gone now. No one can make scary movies like they use to. And the Comedies, well they lack one thing...comedy... |

Here is a movie to try. It's a comedy, but also describes the paranoia of the Cold War. It's "The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming". Alan Arkin and other stars face off when a Russian submarine becomes stuck on a sand bar off of an island near New England. It's very funny with just a touch of historical irony. |
