could the virus in movies such I just wonder if those types
of viruses could actually be
created. Because many of the
science fiction movies that
were made in the 40's and 50's
depict things that are no
longer science fiction today
and can actually be done.

No there is no way that the human could survive without nesscary organs being damaged or the brain being damaged but there might be something that could regenerate the body quick enough to save a life so idk |

sure. we already know "zombies" can result from TTX poisoning and kidnapping or something like that... there are many parasitic organisms that "mind control" their hosts e.g., toxoplasmosis gondii and rodents (and crazy cat ladies). now, will we have armies of flesh-eating zombies running rampant in cities resulting in the destruction of all living things? doubtful. a successful virus/parasite does not want to kill it's host--you kill your host, you kill yourself (unless you can find yourself another host before you kill your current host). furthermore, in I Am Legend, the zombie/vampire guy was only trying to get his girlfriend back...if someone kidnapped my girlfriend, i'd be pissed too |
