Questions/Answers
I have a geode that has been cut in half. How do I polish the cut eges up so they look wet and shiny?
Look up the art of lapidary (rock polishing). One uses a metal wheel that rotates horizontally and various grits (like sandpaper without the paper). Start with a coarse grit and use finer and finer grits until it gets shiny enough.
Think simple...instead of trying to get it polished you can use a clear paint to give it that wet look without any hassles. Just check the paint with a small test area and wait until it dries to get an idea of what it should look like.
