How to Download Free Music and I just got an iPod for
Christmas, and I have no idea
how to work it. This is the
type where I can have videos
too.
Is there a website where I can
download music and videos for
free? And what kind of videos
can I download? I don't want
to pay for music, so I need a
legal website that is free or
very cheap. Oh, and how do you
download music from a website
or CD?

I download music videos and full length movies from various sources; i.e., Limewire, forum sites, file share sites, and the iTunes store itself. You can download any length of video you want for your ipod as long as its in mpeg-4 format. this is only format that ipods can support. haha, there really isn't a "legal" website out there if it allows people to download music for free. if there is, then it'd be iLLEGAL because downloading free music is considered a crime agaisnt copyright or something like that. But people stil download free music everyday, so what's the government gonna do? free music can be downloaded from Limewire and Napster (if its still around). to download from Limewire: you have to download the program search from audio or video files then download (in the tools at the top, you can change the destination folder for the downloaded items. I think the options folder.) if the files are in mp3 or mp4 format, you can just drag the file into your itunes library or on itunes, go to FiLE > ADD FiLE and individually or full folders select the files to be added. to import cds: insert the cd and just click import on the bottom right hand corner. I really wouldn't use limewire. It will completely ruin your computer (trust me, I know). Instead, go to friends and ask them if you can borrow their CD's. Then ask them for help on how to download, or go click "help" on your iTunes thing. And I hate to say it, but almost nothing in life, or at least life on the internet, is really free. |

LIMEWIRE IS ILLEGAL -the only reason they are currently getting away with it is because they call it "file sharing". a loophole so to speak, but as I say at the bottom, they might not be going on for too much longer...- There is really no place where you can download free music/videos without it being illegal. The reason is, all of those are copyrighted, thus you must pay in order to obtain them. If you don't pay for them the "owners" don't get their money and it's considered stealing. Maybe you can try getting CD's from your friends and family. Or you may want to go buy some to put on your ipod. Or just get someones ipod and dump all their music/vids on your pc, then ipod. As for the videos, I'm not sure how you can put those onto an ipod because I dont have one xD. Summary. Limewire=illegal. Get music/videos from people you know. think twice if you want to download music for iPod from those free site, i.e. limewire for 2 simple reasons, 1. it is illegal 2. those sites are usually contains virus and it will just crash your system.
