Any runners out there that have had a Bakers Cyst and are still running?
I have a Bakers cyst which the orthopedic guy doesn't want to touch. I've been trying some alternative therapys but am still in some pain. Former marathoner and 1/2 marathoner, now I can only run 3 days a week an hour maximum. Any success's with this out there. Haven't ruled out surgery or aspiration, just need a doctor who will do it, if it will be helpful. Thanks
I have never heard this, but suggest aqua jogging is a very good alternative which I have used to reproduce the effects of running. You can do sped & tempo sessions also. Good luck
. . . does your knee swell up after running? I know mine did after doing a workout and limited me from doing anything for 2 days . . . you should have the surgery ~ it's pretty simple and the recovery is fairly easy . . . I was healed enough to run in approx 2.5 weeks and haven't had any issues in my knee since ~ good luck
